Mandrem Beach

Back

The beautiful beach of Mandrem is scenically sandwiched between the twin beaches of Ashwem and Arambol. For beach lovers and beach bums, in Goa, Mandrem beach is a Man’s Dream come true. Endless stretches of clear sandy beach for one to walk, jog or even run.

Running on the Mandrem beach towards the north will introduce you to Arambol Beach – the backpacker’s beach. Jogging on the Mandrem beach towards the south will introduce you to Ashwem Beach – bringing you closer to Olive Ridley Turtles in Goa.

Compared to the other beaches of Pernem in North Goa, Mandrem beach has more options for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. The best part of tourist accommodations on Mandrem Beach, Goa is that they are located bang on the beach of Mandrem. Molly’s Nest Beach Cottages are situated on the shoreline of Mandrem beach and touching to the green and meandering Mandrem River / Rivulet.

The beauty of Mandrem Beach is especially during the High Tide time when the sea water rushes into the Mandrem Creek or River. This Mandrem creek that moves parallel to the waterline is usually neck-deep at high tide. This has led to the creation of the romantic wooden foot bridge which is a makeshift bamboo bridge that stretches all over the Mandrem Creek and allows you to set your feet on the spectacular sands of Mandrem Beach.

Being a serene beach one can see white-bellied fish eagles that live in the casuarinas trees at the Goa Mandrem beach. Sometimes even the famous Olive Ridley marine turtles have their hatching nests over here if the Morjim beach is overcrowded.

Mandrem beach is also famous for its spectacular color full sunsets. Molly’s Nest in Goa has their very own beach restaurant facing the seashore of Mandrem beach. So you can wine and dine with your feet buried in the Mandrem beach sand which is part of Molly’s Beach Shack Restaurant at Mandrem, wet your throat with chilled Kingfisher beer and soak your eyes on magnificent sunsets as they bid goodbye to another wonderful holiday in Goa.
